Chalmers On EBB Return

Lewis Chalmers has been speaking to the clubs official website www.theshots.co.uk following his return to the Aldershot fold at the weekend and is looking forwards to challenging for a regular first team place as the season starts to enter its final phase.

'It was a surprise to play against Accrington Stanley" he told the site.

"I know that we hadn't won in nine or so games but I have always been rooting for the boys whilst I have been on loan at Crawley Town. Aldershot has been the first result I have been looking for.

"I suppose the bad results have been the reason why I have received a recall. It was a shock though as I was preparing for a visit with Crawley to Cambridge United. The gaffer called on Wednesday and said he was recalling me. I said no problem but I didn't expect to start and, to be honest, with Scott Davies pulling out with a dead leg it gave me an opportunity and I was always going to take it with with both hands.
