Charles Aiming For Clean Sheet

Anthony Charles has told www.theshots.co.uk that the club need to stop giving away sloppy goals.

Speaking about last weekends 4-2 defeat against Macclesfield Town - which followed the 3-3 draw against Bury a week earlier he said, "To be honest at half time I thought we were comfortable.

"It was 0-0 and we had performed well. The game was there for the taking. You could probably say that we got what we deserved in the end because we never got going after the break.

"We've conceded seven goals in the last two matches now and that really isn't good enough.

"It was similar to the Bury match really as we were behind and had to try to force our way back into the match. At 3-2 down we still thought that we could get a result but their fourth goal killed it off. As a defender you want to win but you always want to win with a clean sheet."
