Railwaymen boss Steve Davis has confirmed that one of the players he would like to take to Crewe this summer is The Shots out of contract striker, Danny Hylton.
The former Shots youth product is obviously keen to remain in the Football League and Davis is hopeful that Crewe’s history of developing good young players will convince the 24-year old to join the Cheshire based club.
Speaking to the clubs official website Davis said: “Danny is a player we have looked at.
“He has been linked with other clubs as well so we know we face competition.
“He is a one-club man having come through at Aldershot and perhaps he wants to broaden his horizon and challenge himself. He is one on our list and we hope we can attract him here so he can improve and get better.
“He would be a great asset because he has a lot of strengths and we believe he would improve if he did come here. Crewe is a coaching club and players do improve here, as the ones we signed last season have shown.”
