Insidermedia.com correspondent Richard Frost has reported that Aldershot Town FC could be saved imminently after their administrators entered into a period of exclusivity with a potential buyer.
With Carl Jackson and Paul Goddard of Southampton-based insolvency practice Quantuma were appointed joint administrators of the club after they were taken into administration shortly after the season ended and the company have since explained that there were fifteen parties that expressed an interest in the club, five of which were deemed serious and of those, one has now been given exclusivity.
Speaking in the interview Jackson said: "I can confirm that I have just entered into a short period of exclusivity with a prospective purchaser with a view to concluding a sale by 1st July 2013.
"Given the early and confidential nature of these negotiations, it would not be appropriate to provide any further details at this current time."
