With trialist Jason Miller already fallen, The Shots boss has told the Aldershot News that he will make a decision on 27-year old Lee Canoville after tomorrow evenings friendly against Blue Square South club, Maidenhead United.
Speaking to the local media he said, "Right-back is obviously priority but we have to make sure we get the right player.
"I will make a decision about Lee Canoville after Tuesday's game at Maidenhead" continued Waddock, "We have other guys lined up to look at but they are unlikely to figure at Maidenhead."
With Chris Kanu, Jomo Faal-Thomas and Kieron Murphy all knocking on the door, it will be interesting to see who get's the nod.
Meanwhile there are strong rumours - and indeed reliable posters on the Shotsweb messageboard who have stated that they have been told by club Chairman that Reading loanee Scott Davies, is to make a season long loan return to the EBB Stadium this season.
Although there is no offical news from either of the two clubs, Davies has been issued the squad number "38" by Reading for this season and Waddock remained coy, but told the local media, "People should know more about the Scott Davies situation on Monday or Tuesday."
