Last updated : 16 July 2010 By Mike Wray

Aldershot Town depart their Somerset training camp for one final time on Saturday morning and travel directly to Oxfordshire as the prepare to face Zamaretto Premier League side Didcot Town, before they enjoy their first day off in over a week.

Speaking to The Shots Online ahead of the match, Shots boss Kevin Dillon said: "It has been an excellent week for the lads in terms of bonding, working together and learning.

"The facilities at Millfield have been excellent and it is a great way to utilise all the positives required for a pre-season."

Shots team news

It may well be the end of a long week for the players, but Dillon has told the website that he is expecting a repeat of the professionalism and commitment that was evident on Tuesday.

Speaking on the match, Dillon told us: "We'll be looking for a similar approach to the one we made at Almondsbury earlier in the week.

"It is all about fitness, preparation and the correct amount of actual involvement on the pitch relevant to each player's situation.

"Each match we have arranged away from home is to gradually expand on our previous match and we're continuing to build up to the opening match at Accrington Stanley.

"It has been a positive week for the lads - minus the setback regarding Jack's [Randall] injury which, unfortunately, happens in football."

On that news, Jack Randall remains the only Shots absentee, having fractured a bone in his ankle during Tuesday's friendly against Almondsbury Town.

Shots from: Jamie Young, Jordan Clement, Ben Herd, Jamie Vincent, Sam Stewart, Darren Jones, Jack Saville, Reece Connolly, Luke Guttridge, Damian Spencer, Glenn Little, Danny Hylton, Scott Murray, Emmanuel Panther, Anthony Charles, Anthony Straker, Andy Stephenson, Ben Harding, Kevin McLeod, Jack Randall, Aaron Brown and Marvin Morgan.

The opposition

Didcot began their pre-season training a little over two weeks ago and like The Shots, will be using the match to gain some much needed match fitness.

Michael Bartley and Riccardo Cannon both grabbed goals against Oxford United on Tuesday evening as the Railwaymen were defeated 6-2 home defeat against the U's and although the club held their own during the first-half, going in to the break at 1-1, their young side succumb to a late second half onslaught which included three goals conceded in the final thirteen-minutes.

Like The Shots, the Railwaymen fielded two different sides during each half of that match and Saturday is expected to be no different for both managers as they continue to build towards the new season.

Former Shot, Jason Huggins is expected to feature and Tuesday also saw the names Carbon, Gunn, Osborne-Ricketts, Bucknor, Halliday, Jones, Hodgkins and Langford added to the squad list, but there is no information available regarding these players so it is unknown if they are set to feature on Saturday.

Railwaymen from: Andy Williams, Sam Warrell, Morgan Williams, Josh Dutton-Black, Jamie Heapy, Michael Bartley, Alex Stanley, Michael Hopkins, Michael Alexis, Josh Huggins, James Mortimer-Jones, Jack Smith, Lee Henderson, Riccardo Cannon and Shaun Wimble.

Taking charge

Taking charge of the match will be Graham Scott and he will be assisted by Anthony Coggins and Adam Fielding.
