Official Shots website www.theshots.co.uk has announced that former Southampton defender Jason Dodd has joined the club as caretaker manager.
39-year old Dodd made almost 400 appearances for the Saints at the top level of English football and he played for the South coast club for 15 years.
His career has also seen him serve as the clubs First Team Coach under the stewardship of George Burley back in 2007 and when Burley left to become Scotland manager in January 2008, he stepped up and became joint Caretaker Manager alongside John Gorman.
Assisting Dodd will be his former Southampton colleague Paul Williams.
The 38-year old made over 400 senior appearances and also featured for Coventry City, Stoke City and Derby County both as a midfielder and defender. He has also gained coaching experience in the United States of America USL Premier Development League.
Jason and Paul have both represented England at Under 21 level.

Sky Sports have reported that Dodd's former Saints team-mate Nicky Banger - now corporate sales manager at Aldershot - played a role in bringing him to the club. Sky have also speculated that the move will be made permanent in the not too distant future.
