Talking on Thursday, the boss told the clubs official website: "I am pleased that both players have signed for another year.

Mikhael did well in our first season in the Football League. He was understudy to Nikki Bull but he did well when called upon and did a first class job. He grew in confidence towards the end of the season. He is a totally professional guy who is totally committed.

"Scott started the season off well and then was in and out of the side through injuries. He is a talented young man who now has the chance to kick on when he comes back to pre season.

"With Scott Davies departing there is an opportunity for him now. He has the capability to fulfil his potential. It is a big season for him and I am hopeful that he can have a regular place and show everybody how good he is."

Midfielder Donnelly, 21, came through the youth set-up at Queens Park
Rangers with boss Waddock and made his senior debut as a 16-year-old in
October 2004.

After a spell at Wealdstone he trialled at Aldershot in the summer of 2007 and signed a permanent deal in March 2008. He scored in the 2007/08 Setanta Shield Final victory over Rushden & Diamonds before scoring the vital Aldershot goal in the 1-1 draw at Exeter City that secured the Blue Square Premier title and promotion to the Football League.

He followed that up by scoring the clubs first-ever Football League goal in the 1-0 victory at Accrington Stanley on the opening day of the 2008-09 season. Scott has now made 39 appearances for the club netting six goals.

Mikhael, 24, is one of the few Venezuelan's ever to play in the UK. Having finished his education in his birth land, he went to America to study and played university football. He came to Europe in 2004 and played for Romanian sides Olimpia Gherla, CFR Cluj Napoca and Ariesul Turda (on loan). In 2005, he played his sole full international that year - a friendly against Guatemala.

Mikhael trialled at a number of English clubs in 2006 before signing as a non-contract player with Barnet. He then played briefly for Northwood and trialled at Wycombe Wanderers before joining Aldershot Town on a non-contract basis in April 2007and was the substitute goalkeeper in the last two league games of the season.

He signed a full contract at the Rec in July 2007 and was the hero of the 2008 Setanta Shield Final victory over Rushden & Diamonds as he saved a penalty in extra time as well as making the trophy-winning save in the penalty shoot-out.

He made his Football League debut in the 3-3 home draw with Bury at the beginning of October 2008 and, in total, made 14 appearances last season.
