Donnelly Still Weighing Up Options

Shots midfielder Scott Donnelly who told the Bucks Free Press earlier this week that he expected to sign for the Chairboys by the end of the week, may have come a few days too early according to ex-Shots boss Gary Waddock.

Speaking to the paper Waddock said: “It’s the worst kept secret that I like him and would like to get him to this football club and hopefully there will be a positive outcome, but we’ve got to agree compensation and personal terms.”

Meanwhile, Donnelly has told the Aldershot News: "I am weighing up my options.

“Yes, I have had a call from Wycombe and an offer but I am totally undecided still.

“I had a meeting with the Gaffer [Kevin Dillon] on the Friday after we lost to Rotherham and I did not turn anything down. I have not said ‘no’ to Aldershot yet.”

“There has not really been any negotiating with anyone yet,” he added. “I have just been enjoying my time off after the end of the season. I guess crunch time will come but nothing is done and dusted yet." Donnelly added, aware that speculation has suggested a deal with be done with Wycombe any day now.
