Aldershot chief executive Peter Duffy believes the club has a budget in place to allow them to compete for promotion this season. Scott Donnelly, Kirk Hudson, Andy Sandell and Dave Winfield have all left the League Two side, who were knocked out by Rotherham in the play-offs last term. But manager Kevin Dillon has already bolstered his squad with the signings of Luke Gutteridge, Darren Jones, Jack Randall and Jamie Vincent. "A fresh approach has been taken to deliver financial stability to the club," Duffy told the club's official website. "The budget has been approved by the board which we are confident will enable the club to continue to develop and compete for promotion next season. "Our budget is tight as would be expected but nevertheless it will enable us to fund ongoing improvements on the football side and also on the infrastructure for supporters. "I am delighted to confirm that EBB has renewed their commitment as sponsor of the EBB Stadium for up to the next five years. The new shirt sponsor will be announced on 6 July. In accordance with our longer term ambition, I am also delighted to confirm the board's investment in youth development and in particular the establishment of a new Centre of Excellence."
