The Shots number one announced back in October that frustrations over contract talks last summer meant he would leave in May regardless of how well the club did however he has now told BBC Southern Counties Radio that nothing has been decided yet.
Speaking to the BBC he said, "I maybe said what I said back then a bit hastily.
"Once we get it won, we'll sit down. I think I'm one of 13 players out of contract so the club will be busy".
Having spent five years at the club, there is no mistaking the former captains loyalty to the club and although many had accepted that he would be off to bigger and better things at the end of the season, he spoke honestly saying, "One or two players may have left prematurely thinking the grass is greener. But as life always proves, the grass is never greener.
"I decided to stick it out through the bad times, and now hopefully I can come out the other end a league winner with Aldershot and part of the team that gets them back in the Football League."
Whatever Bully decides to do he will have the full support of the club and its supporters who certainly recognise the 110% effort he has given to the club over the years - but there would be nothing more pleasing to see the goalkeeping hero between the sticks as the club, hopefully, makes its first appearance in League Two next season.
