The Shots have already struggled against Rovers twice this season and have only managed to pick up a single league point against the relegation strugglers – losing 2-1 at the Recreation Ground and drawing 0-0 at the Lawn so another tough match is expected.
Rovers current form looks like this:
Sat 15 Jan | H | Trophy | L 1-2 | 554
Sat 22 Jan | H | League | L 1-3 | 719
Tue 25 Jan | H | Conf. Cup | W 4-3 | 223
after extra time, 90 minutes 3-3
Sat 29 Jan | A | League | L 0-2 | 3,860
Sat 05 Feb | H | League | D 1-1 | 449
Sat 12 Feb | H | League | D 1-1 | 870 |
Although the Shots didn't play on Saturday it's widely expected that it will be a mix of reserves and youth team players will feature in their starting line up – with manager Terry Brown reporting that a “bug” had recently swept through his side.
The match should provide another useful run out for Tarkan Mustafa, Martin Reeves, James Field and Tobi Jinadu who are in need of gaining some much needed match fitness while Ty Smith, Chris Giles and Hugh McAuley will be able to keep themselves in the shop window in their bids to find other clubs.
