Former Chairman Steps Down

Aldershot Town FC Chairman John McGinty has announced with regret, that the Football Club have accepted the resignation of Karl Prentice from the Board of Directors of Aldershot Town Football Club.

Mr Prentice has been with the club since its birth in 1992 and during the last sixteen years he served the club faithfully as Director, Vice Chairman and Chairman and remained as Chairman until October 2006.

Speaking on the clubs official website, Mr McGinty said, "It is hard to put into words the hard work that he was involved in, it included, late night going home from various Board Meetings, trying to run his business and attend to the needs of the club, he did both willingly.

"On behalf of all at Aldershot Town Football Club, I wish you Karl all the very best in the future in whatever you do, I know you made a lot of sacrifices so that you could serve the club well."
