Gary Waddock's men are due to face Tottenham, Fulham and Chelsea over the summer period and the 24-year-old believes the experience will stand his side in good stead for the 2009/10 League Two campaign.
"We played a few Premier League teams last pre-season and it`s always good because you can put yourself up against these players," he said. "I don`t think they always have their strongest team out but they always have the up and coming youngsters and a few first-team players."
He added: "I think it`s a good opportunity for all the players to put themselves up against the best and try and show what we`re worth."
"I think it can only be positive because whether it`s a younger team or not they`re still the elite and playing for that Premier League club so they`ve got every opportunity of breaking into that first-team.
"I feel if we can get some results in the pre-season games and get some good fitness out of it, it would take us on strong for the season."
