Bristol CIty FC have confirmed that they have recalled goalkeeper Stephen Henderson from his loan spell. The 21-year-old Irishman has made eight appearances since arriving at the EBB Stadium in February making his debut in the Coca-Cola League match at Barnet.
The Championship club were able to use a 24 hour emergency clause in the loan agreement after keeper Steve Collis picked up a foot injury in training.
Manager Kevin Dillon told "The Shots Online", "There is nothing that you can do about this and in a way it was always a possibility that it may occur. Stephen did well during his time here. He is a goalkeeper who came to Aldershot and experienced regular first team Football League action for the first time in his career. It will have been an excellent development in his career.
"From our point of view Mikhael [Jaimez Ruiz] will come straight back into the starting line-up. His attitude has been exemplary in recent weeks and he has been a real credit to himself. I will have to look at getting another goalkeeper in though as we need to have two keepers in the squad."
Bristol City boss Gary Johnson spoke to the official Bristol City website and said, "We can't take any chances so we have recalled Stephen from Aldershot. He's done very well there and we'd have no hesitation in throwing him into the team."
