Danny Hylton, who has netted six goals in five games, has been named as the nPower League Two Player of the Month.
Speaking to the clubs official website, manager Dean Holdsworth said: "Danny's eagerness to improve and his dedication to both the team and himself has been fantastic since the day I arrived as manager.
"He deserves the award and his commitment has ensured that practice makes perfect. Danny has a hunger to improve every day in training and this is testament to his hard work."
Sky Sports’ Football League expert Peter Beagrie sits on the npower Player of the Month judging panel and he continued: “Hotshot Danny Hylton has achieved a magnificent return of six league goals.
“He continues to rise towards the top of the League Two scoring charts, terrorising opposition defenders and goalkeepers in the process!”
NPower Head of Sponsorship Emma Collins said: “Danny lit up League Two with some sparkling performances during October."
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports Football League expert Peter Beagrie, Football League Head of Communications John Nagle, BBC Sport’s Mark Clemmit and npower Head of Sponsorship Emma Collins.
