Kuhl: We've Let Ourselves Down

Speaking to the clubs official website www.theshots.co.uk, after Monday's 1-1 draw against Barnet, coach Martin Kuhl has reviewed recent events saying "We've just said to the lads it's the same story week in, week out. We give away a goal by making a mistake and we have to work hard to get a point.

"You have to ask questions - it's happened too many times for it to be down to luck, so we have to work on that.

"People say that you have to work on your finishing and work on your defending but at the end of the day, we make mistakes and we concede goals and we're not professional enough to put the ball in the net at the other end of the pitch, so that's where we are.

"Everyone knows that it's been up-hill since Christmas and we've had a slide but there's a lot to play for, there are some that still have to be here, some are still playing for places and some that have to impress us a little bit more. For the ones not going to be here, then there's going to be people here watching them and hopefully we can sort things out at the end of the season."

Speaking about being well off the play-off pace, Kuhl continued, "We've only got ourselves to blame. I look at it that we started the season on fire and then made mistakes and conceded goals and at the turn of Christmas we've made mistakes and its worn us down and it may be a bit of a blessing in disguise when you look at players and begin to wonder but what it good for is that they've had a taste of what it's all about and for those that are here next year, they'll know what its all about."
