Let's Win The Cup For Scotty

The 20-year-old midfielder broke his leg in two places during the Shots' final match of the season at Altrincham two weeks ago, and will now miss Saturday's clash with Fleet Town — a game he was due to start.

Scott had an operation on his leg on Wednesday morning and is known to have targeted a return to the first team squad in time for pre-season training in June, despite the sickening nature of the injury.

"Everyone felt a bit ill when we saw what had happened to his leg and we knew he was in trouble right away because Scotty is not the sort of person to stay down," Barnard told the News.

"All the boys' main concern was for making sure he was comfortable and hopefully because he's young the injury will heal quickly and we'll see him back in training sooner rather than later.

"Scotty will be missed by all the boys on Saturday because he's a good lad and he would have played in the final if he had been fit so we want to win it for him."
