Lewis Chalmers: On loan to Crawley.
Shots manager Gary Waddock has confirmed that 22-year-old midfielder Lewis Chalmers has joined Blue Square Premier Crawley Town on a months loan.

Talking to the clubs official website the boss said, T"his is an important move for Lewis because he has had limited first team experience this season. He needs to play regular first team football and this will give him the opportunity to do so.

"He is still an important member of the squad and I am sure that this loan move will benefit him greatly.'

"Players need the regularity of competitive games and the continuity of playing is invaluable."

Lewis joined Aldershot at the start of the 2007/08 season and missed just four matches in the Blue Square Premier championship season. Including cup matches he made 52 appearances last season; only Ben Harding played more times for the club during 2007/08. He was also named in the Blue Square Premier 'Team of the Year'. In the summer of 2008, Lewis signed a new two-year deal at the Rec and won the Four Nations Tournament with England 'C'.
