Martin Kuhl - Is he down to the final three?
John McGinty has spoken to the clubs official website following the initial round of interviews for the vacant managers position at the club and has said, "We had a long list of candidates apply for the vacancy and then the Board drew a shortlist from there. We held interviews last Thursday and we are now down to three people.

"It is a democratic vote and we all have an input before the final decision is made. We will meet again early next week before we progress from there.

"As I have stated before, the announcement will co-incide with the launch of our new sponsor too. We have to get everything ready for this and it is important that we do it at the same time to get the right impact because this is a great deal that we have and it is important to look after them."

Continuing, John was pleased with the quality of the candidates interviewed adding, "There were some good managers in there and plenty of enthusiasm too.

"It is such an important decision that we have to make. Therefore we must take the adequate time before we decide who the right man is.

"What I can confirm to everybody quite categorically is that we have not appointed the manager yet. Decisions have had to be made in the meantime including the announcement last week notifying all players as to what their futures with the club are.

"This is a procedure that has to be undertaken as it is an obligation from the club to inform them within seven days of the conclusion of the league season.

"I ask the supporters of Aldershot Town to be patient with us whilst we are in the process of making the decision but I cannot name the new manager yet because it has not been decided. Once it has hopefully it will be onwards and upwards."
