McPhee And Guyett Stay For Another Month

The Aldershot News have reported that Shots boss Terry Brown believes keeping hold of on-loan striker Chris McPhee is the answer to getting the Shots off the bottom of the league table — sensationally suggesting that he and Tim Sills make up one of the best strike-forces in the Conference, despite the pair having only scored twice each so far this season.

He told the local paper, “With McPhee staying on I've got no problem up front, I've got as good as there is in this league up front.

“What I've not got is the balance right in the midfield and a good defensive unit yet and that's for me to put right,” added Brown.

The news of Scott Guyett's extension gained a mixed response from the Shots faithful as the Yeovil defender had openly stated that he fully intended to return to his club once his initial month loan had ended.

It's believed that the defender has opted to stay on in order to gain regular first team football at the Recreation Ground, rather than sitting his contract out in the reserves for the League One club. Whatever his reasons, it's hoped that he can begin to strengthen the back line-up before it's too late.
