ALDERSHOT TOWN midfielder Adam Mekki is set to be side-lined after shoulder injury.

Shots midfielder Adam Mekki is set to be side-lined for anything between six to twelve weeks after suffering a fractured collarbone in yesterday’s opening Skrill Premier match at Grimsby.

The player had an x-ray this morning and broke the news via his Twitter account saying: “Bad news I've fractured my collar bone.  Shouldn't be out for too long.  Trying to stay positive about the whole situation.”

Several fans have wished him well and among them was former Shots Jermaine McGlashan, now with Cheltenham Town who replied:  “Prayers are with you pal, speedy recovery at STAY POSITIVE!”

Everyone here at Stray Shots Towers would like to join in with the Shots fans in wishing Adam a speedy recovery.
