29-year old Craig Stanley has joined Aldershot Town on a two-year contract.
The former Bristol Rovers, Morecambe and Hereford United man has also made loan appearances for Torquay United and Raith Rovers and has also gained caps as an England "C" International and speaking to the clubs official website, manager Dean Holdsworth said: "I have made enquiries before about Craig. He is a robust player who passes the ball well but can also do the horrible things well too.
"He wants to get back to the feeling of playing with confidence and a freeness. It is down to me to get him focussed and fit and I am looking forward to working with him."
After signing the deal, Stanley said: "I know the division well and Aldershot were an improving side last season. I want to be part of a squad that is capable of pushing all the time.
"There are a lot of good players at the club. It is an exciting time to join. We have a tough pre-season first and there will be plenty of hard work ahead."
