FORMER SHOTS MIDFIELDER Mark Molesley has made a third return to the Recreation Ground.
The 32-year old has returned to the club in a one-year deal and speaking to the clubs official website, manager Andy Scott said: “Mark is a fantastic lad, he’s fitted in very well.
“He’s very enthusiastic and a good player. We hope that he’ll bring us goals from midfield, energy, experience and enthusiasm, a knowledge of the League that we’re going into, and the ability to make people around him play well.”
The player, who featured 11 times for Exeter City last season in League Two, last played in a Shots shirt during March 2012 when he returned in a six-week loan spell from AFC Bournemouth and before that, made 42 appearances during the 2006-07 season and he added: “I’m no stranger to the place, and have fond memories here.
“Aldershot gave me my first professional contract, which is something I will always remember and treasure, and they’ll always be close to my heart.
“This is a challenge I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into. The fans and everybody here have done marvellously well to keep the club going, they’ve had a real fight on their hands.
“Now it’s up to the players to show that same fight. Make no bones about it, we’re in a dog fight here and we need people to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.”
