"I've said I will take the next penalty that come up and just get on with it.
"As soon as I missed the penalty, I needed half-time to come straight away so I could get back to how I was playing before the miss and in the second half I think I played much better, but after I missed the penalty, I think my head went down and I know it shouldn't have."
Speaking after the match, the highly rated player continued: "I pride myself in being an experienced team player now so I should have known to just get on with it and I'm still disappointed, but it could have been six-all it was that kind of game."
While some supporters have been blaming the defeat on the previous management team leaving mid-week causing the players to become un-settled, Morgan was quick to add: "I don't put it down to anything to do with the manager leaving, it was one of those kind of games. We just need to keep on doing what we've been doing and we helped put the manager [Gary Waddock] at Wycombe because we've been doing so well on the pitch.
"We should have got something out of the game, although we didn't deserve to win but it's a wake-up call that I think we needed.
"I don't really know why we played so badly in the second half. Once we got that goal [Aldershot's second] it calmed us down but conceding about five minutes later, it killed us off and they went on and scored a couple of minutes later.
"I think they [the board] have appointed the right people to come in [Jason Dodd and Paul Williams] obviously Jason knows the team quite well and Paul is a good coach. They've come in and done a great job and they need to be given a chance.
"The fans can't expect them to come in and do what we've been doing with our old gaffer, but the players know what we need to be doing and personally, I think we'll do fine.
"I look at the teams we've played and the games we've won, drawn and lost and this league is so tight . If we get another win next week we'll still be up there [in the play off spots] and as long as we keep on playing as we have been in recent weeks, I think we'll be alright.
"We did poorly today but still had lots of chances so that tells you about our team. If we can tighten up and stop giving them [the opposition] chances, we'll definitely be okay."
Meanwhile, speculation also continues as to those players that Waddock may be tempted to take to Adams Park when the transfer window re-opens in the New Year and with Morgan being rumoured to be attracting interest from various clubs due to his good form, we asked if there was any possibility that we may see him wearing a Wycombe shirt in the near future and he continued: "No, definitely not!
"I've said to everyone - why would I want to go to Wycombe when they're in the relegation zone in League One when we're in the play off spots and doing so well?
"I think it would be a stupid move. It's not as if they're at the top of the league and flying, so I can't see any point from my point of view, in going to a team where there is pressure on you to deliver instantly. I'm happy where I am and I've still got another sixteen or seventeen months left on my contract and I'm more than happy to be here so you can rule out any move to Wycombe rumours that are going around."
