Aldershot Town FC have announced that Ricky Newman has signed a new
one year deal keeping him at the club in a Player/Coach capacity.
The 37-year old played a major part of the Blue Square Premier championship season and in total, made 36 appearances where he showed great versatility featuring either in the centre of midfield or at the heart of the defence.
His experience was a major asset and the boss has confirmed that there will be additional responsibilities for the former Crystal Palace and Reading player.
Talking to the clubs official website, www.theshots.co.uk Waddock said, 'I am delighted that Ricky has signed for next season.
"He proved a valuable member of the squad during the course of the season and is a model professional and a great example to the younger players.
In addition to his playing role Ricky will also coach the reserve team next season.
