Andy Sandell: Set for return to the Conference?
Oxford United boss Chris Wilder is believed to be interested in The Shots former Salisbury player, Andy Sandell.

The midfielder, who watched United's final game of the season against Northwich, is one of a number of players being linked to the U's.

Others include Kidderminster's Justin Richards, who was on loan at Oxford for a spell in the 2007-8 campaign, Histon's Jack Midson and Northwich's Ryan Clarke.

But Wilder was playing down some of the rumours that deals had already been done.

"We're getting linked with every man and his dog at the moment," he said.

"I expect this and don't mind it, because it shows people feel we'll be competing for the best players.

"I've got an open mind, but there are certain budgets we have to look at carefully.

"What I can say is that we're down the line with two or three players, and in discussions with them, and we're confident we can tie these up."
