The injury comes at a bad time for the Shots, who are already without Rhys Day, Mark Molesley Louie Soares and Darren Barnard for Saturday's home match with Altrincham.
However, the visitors also have an extensive injury list, with seven first team regulars in the treatment room, all unlikely to make the trip south.
First choice keeper Stuart Coburn joins last year's top scorer Colin Little, Steve Bushell and Gary Scott on the sidelines, while centre back pairing Gary Talbot and Peter Band are also out.
Summer signing Peter Thomson has yet to play for the club due to a knee injury and will not feature at the Rec either.
Despite his own side's injury problems, the Shots' manager is targeting six points from the home games with Alty and Tamworth
“The situation is not looking as rosy as it was previously but we expect to win our home games — anything less would be disappointing,” Brown said.
“Altrincham have a good team spirit and are very well organised. They inflicted defeats on us both home and away last season so we know that if they get their noses in front, they're a real handful.
“We have to impose ourselves right from the word go. My concern is that the bulk of the squad are very young and we can't carry them.
“Apart from Andy Edwards, the current backline are all quite young and while they have done very well, we need a bit more experience back there so I'm looking to bring someone in on loan.
“We have two or three targets in mind but the timing has to be right. We have the FA Cup coming up soon and most clubs are reluctant to let their players get cup tied so we have to work on that.”
Barnard meanwhile, faces an operation on his groin next week, a procedure that is liable to keep the veteran left back out of action for more than a month.
This represents a real blow to the Shots, who have struggled for consistency recently, beating the likes of Stevenage and Grays, but then also losing at the hands of Northwich Victoria and Cambridge United.
The boss added: “The last few weeks have been disappointing but that comes with having a young side.
“At that age they're meant to have a year to progress into the first team, while also having cameo roles. They've all done brilliantly so far but we can't have a back four that, apart from Andy Edwards, has no real experience.”
Brown revealed that changes are expected for Saturday's game, with Marcus Gayle likely to return to the starting line-up after an impressive second half turn against Cambridge last week.
