Shots manager Dean Holdsworth has confirmed that he has released midfielder Anthony Pulis following an unsuccessful time at the club.
Original given a one-year deal when he joined in August 2011, the 27-year old only managed to make eight appearances even though the club have had a far from impressive first half to the season.
Speaking to the clubs official website, Holdsworth said: "We have agreed to release Anthony so he can pursue first team football elsewhere.
"He has been a 100% professional and a good lad to have in the dressing room and I wish him all the best."
The move is expected to have forced the club to pay up Pulis' contract and with the return of Manny Panther from Grimsby Town, it will remain to be seen if the club can find the money to do likewise with him - or whether he is given a chance to play ahead of his contract coming to an end with the club.
