Saturday Could Spell The End For Brown

The Aldershot News has reported in todays edition that they understand that Shots manager Terry Brown could be out of a job if his side lose their crucial FA Cup tie at Haverhill Rovers this coming Saturday.

Although there is no quotes or specific in formation, it is believed that the board split over the manager's future and a poor result at Hamlet Croft against their Ridgeon League Division One opposition could herald the end of Brown's career at the club.

The Shots have endured a miserable run of late, winning just two out of their last nine games but the boss insists he is not overly concerned about his future.

Speaking to the paper, Brown said, “I'm not particularly worried. As any manager will tell you, you're always five or six bad results away from the sack in this game.

"You only have to look at Alan Pardew to see the pressure he's under after doing a great job last year.

“I've been a manager for the best part of 15 years now and rumours about your job become part and parcel of the role. You know that you just have to turn things around as quickly as possible."

With thanks to the Aldershot News.
