Speaking about Saturdays visitors, Brown told the site "In the last round they attacked Chesterfield from the start and for 30 minutes in that game their manager said that Basingstoke were the best team they had played this season.
"We are expected to win this match. We are at home and our form over the last two or three games has seen us as a more solid unit. Whilst we are still not playing the kind of football I know we are capable of we have started to keep some clean sheets and that is crucial."
While The Shots will enter the match as favourites, Terry Brown is full aware that the cup can produce shock results and after The Dragons managed to dump League One side Chesterfield out with a 1-0 away win. Brown continued, "If anybody wants to use a comparison about this match when they look at the league tables I will just refer them to the Hednesford Town FA Trophy semi final in 2004. We were flying then and I can remember what a great draw that was at the time.
"They were relegated that season and were shocking in the league but over two matches they deserved to beat us and they went onto win the final too. Certain players can perform on the big occasion and raise their game.
"I have got to ensure that we are not complacent and go on and make a bit of history for ourselves. Aldershot is steeped in tradition and I want to carve out something special for the 2006/07 side."
