Parrett, who is able to play on the wing and in central midfield, has made two first-team appearances for Spurs, in both legs of last February’s UEFA Cup tie against Shakhtar Donetsk and is considered a very hot prospect having been signed by Spurs from QPR aged just 15, for an initial fee of £1 million with a further £2 million of potential increments.
The youngster is also a regular England Under-19 International, and has been selected for the England squad for next month's European U19 Championship first qualifying round against Finland, Slovenia and Slovakia.
Now 17, Parrett, who worked with both Waddock and Scott Donnelly at Loftus Road, was hailed by former Spurs sporting director Damien Comolli as "an extremely talented young player who has that rare combination of pace, aggression and creativity. Dean is exactly the kind of player we want to attract to our Club, a player who will be part of the next generation to come through to the first team."
Parrett played 45 minutes against The Shots in July’s pre-season friendly between the two sides and looked impressive on the right-wing. He is expected to go straight into the squad to face Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.
