Shots Boss Seeks Striking Improvements

The Aldershot News has reported that Shots manager Terry Brown believes that two home games in four days — against Southport in the Conference and Chelmsford in an FA Cup replay — could be decisive as the Shots look to get their season back on track.

He told the paper, “We've played some brilliant football at the Rec at times this season and it's a place where the lads enjoy playing.

“We've got a run of games at home now that could be very big for the club and if we win them then it sets up some fantastic opportunities for us.”

The Shots boss admitted after last weekend's dismal display at Chelmsford that his players had under-performed and he has told them it is time to see some improvements, particularly in attack.

He said: “We need to get back down to playing our own football and re-find our early season form."
