Both clubs currently play their football in the Premier Division of the Wessex League with Romsey Town finished last season in 11th place while Brading Town, who come from the Isle of Wight, finished slightly lower in 14th.

Last season, The Shots fielded their Reserve side in the competition and only made it to Round Three, crashing out against Basingstoke Town down at the Camrose, while Romsey Town went out in Round Two against Brockenhurst and Brading Town fell in Round One against Moneyfields.
