Aldershot Town will travel to Berkshire for their First Round FA Cup match after the side managed to defeat their Conference opposition 2-1 in this evenings replay.
In dramatic style, Canvey went 1-0 up before Burnham managed to peg them back to 1-1 - before having a man sent off.
The minnows were awarded a penalty in the 89th minute which they managed to put away - knocking the Gulls out of the competition and ensuring a money making tie against the Shots.
Speaking to the Aldershot News following Saturday's victory against Bromley, Brown commented: “As a manager you hope to get one of two things, a real big earner against Notts Forest or Bristol City away or one of them at home, or the worst side possible side in terms of league position at home, and we've got neither of those.
“I won't be disappointed if Burnham get a win, it's local for the supporters and for me. The problem with the 5pm draw means you don't get to enjoy your win, you're already onto the next game.”
Terry Brown attended this evenings match on a scouting mission and now officials from both clubs will be meeting on Wednesday morning to agree arrangements for the tie.
Any ticketing arrangements will be published on this site as soon as they are known.
With thanks to the Aldershot News.
