The draw, which was made on Sunday afternoon at the FA's Headquarters in Soho Square, saw former Arsenal player Martin Keown draw Gary Waddock's side out of the hat to ensure a home tie while former Spurs man Ossie Ardiles paired them against their League Two rivals.
The Millers have made a great start to the season and, having clawed their way back from a minus seventeen-point start to the season, they are now in twenty-first place in the League, twelve points above the relegation places.
With only one defeat in their eight away games so far this season, Gary Waddock's side will have their work cut out if they are to progress but both sides will feel that the tie is winnable and will be hoping to earn the £20k prize money and secure their place in the draw for the Second Round.
There has been a mixed reaction to the match on the Millers Mad message board, with some United supporters describing the tie as "shocking", while on ShotsTalk, the general feeling has been that it will be a tough match.
