A single goal scored two minutes before the end of added time was enough to save both clubs the agony of a penalty shoot-out, although that wont be any comfort to anyone connected Bury FC who would have fancied their chances having managed to hold out with 10 men against the team from a division above them.

Scunthorpe have Tommy Johnson to thank for their victory – his 118th minute winner also earned the club the £16000 in prize money and the club along with its supporters will be focusing on their match with the Shots on the 3rd December.
