Shots Looking At Right Back

The Harrow Observer has reported that Shots boss Gary Waddock is looking at Wealdstone right-back, Carl Martin.

The defender lined up for the Reserves side 2-2 draw against Gillingham yesterday but is expected to return to his home club this weekend as they face Heybridge Swifts on Saturday with dreams of turning professional.

According to the report, the right back has produced some accomplished displays for Gordon Bartlett's men recently and has this week been training with League Two side Aldershot, who already have two former Stones players on their books in Scott Donnelly and Marvin Morgan.

Bartlett told the media, "I certainly believe he is good enough to turn professional. He is taking a look at them (Aldershot) and they are taking a look at him this week.

"I will then speak to Gary Waddock to discuss the matter."
