Two goals from defender Louie Soares and one from Darren Barnard were enough to earn The Shots victory after going a goal down after five minutes.
Speaking to the clubs official website, www.theshots.co.uk Shots manager Terry Brown said, "The conditions were difficult as it was wet and windy. It was a deja vu feeling when they took the lead so early on but I know that the boys have character and they showed it.
"My main worry was not being with the experienced players that we needed but I was chuffed with Phil Anderson who came in and did well. Louie Soares is recapturing his form too and it is pleasing. This win is massive for the club. It is a milestone for the club and myself as I have never been to the third round before and I am looking forward to enjoying my Christmas lunch knowing that we have a match at Blackpool to look forward to".
