Martin Kuhl: Will put players through their paces.
Preparation for the clubs first ever League Two campaign began with a behind-closed-door team meeting, followed with a weigh-in and body fat check.

Donned in their smart new Carbrini training kit, the players began the physical side of training with a bleep-test while first-team coach Martin Kuhl told Sky Sports News, "They were fit last year and we've gone up this year so they'll be champing at the bit - and one or two of them have done quite a bit of work."

Manager Gary Waddock continued, "They were given a programme at the end of last season and a lot of them have actually done it which is encouraging, it's a good period for the club, we're going back into the League so everybody is prepared and looking forwards to that.

"When that comes round we'll be fit and ready to go."

Speaking ahead of the clubs first home pre-season friendly in a fortnights time against a Chelsea XI, Waddock continued, "That will be our first game, so what we'll do is give the players some match time, some match practice so they'll probably get about forty-five minutes each, so we're working towards our first League game.

The Shots continue their pre-season preparations all this week, and will take on Sydenhams Wessex Premier League outfit Alton Town on Saturday at their Bass Sports Ground, kick off 3pm.
