Shots Sign A-Rod

Shots manager Dean Holdsworth continued to re-build his Aldershot Town squad today with the signing of young striker, Alex Rodman.

Rodman, 23, has joined the club in a  two-and-a-half year contract from Conference side Tamworth and has 10-goals so far this season - 3 of which came in Dean Holdsworth's last game in charge of Newport County when they were defeated at the Lamb.

The promising youngster was called up to the England C squad earlier this week for next months International against Belgium.

Rodman, who can play as a striker or on the wing, has previously played for Nuneaton Borough, Gainsborough Trinity, Grantham and Leamington. He has also played for the England futsal team and graduated with a degree in business studies from Nottingham Trent University in 2009. He goes into the Aldershot Town squad to face Gillingham on Saturday.
