Aldershot Town confirm that 24-year old striker Bradley Bubb has signed on a two year contract from Conference South neighbours Farnborough FC.
The agreement for the Grenadian international will also include a sell on clause should the player be sold in the future in addition to two pre-season friendly fixtures to be held at the Rushmoor Stadium, the first to be held during the forthcoming pre season campaign on Sunday 10th July; the second during the pre season for the 2012/2013 season.
Farnborough FC Chairman Simon Hollis commented, “Bradley has played a major part in our success over the past two seasons and his progress is in line with the development policy that we have for younger players. He has a chance to play in the Football League and that is an opportunity that we couldn’t stand in his way for. We wish him all the best in the future.”
Indeed Bradley, who previously played for Chalfont St Peter and Beaconsfield SYCOB before arriving at Farnborough in the summer of 2009, has netted 40 goals in 88 appearances during two seasons at the club. He was an influential part of the squad that secured the Southern League Premier division in 2009/10 before reaching the Conference South play off final last month at the first attempt.
He is currently representing his country, alongside the clubs very own Anthony Straker, in the CONCACAF Gold Cup being staged in the USA where they are grouped with Jamaica, Guatemala and Honduras.
Aldershot Town manager Dean Holdsworth commented, “We have been looking at Bradley over the past few months. I have known about his goal scoring exploits for quite a while and he came well recommended.
“He has goal scoring attributes, is quick and will give us another dimension. I am really pleased to sign a player of his calibre and potential and am looking forward to working with him.”
