Shots manager Dean Holdsworth has announced that striker Craig Reid has joined the club on a two-year deal.

The Coventry-born striker joins the club from League One side Stevenage for an undisclosed fee - revealed by the League One side to be one involving five-figures.

The signing will see Reid team up with his former boss for a second time as they were previously together at Newport County where the player netted 66 goals in 112 matches.

Speaking to the clubs official website, Holdsworth said: "This is a big step in the right direction for us.

"We have addressed our defensive and midfield situation and plenty of work has been undertaken to sign Craig to address the attacking area of our game.

"I must thank the club, Chairman and Richard Low for having the same enthusiasm as me to ensure this deal has been completed. I know Craig well. He has an excellent professionalism, character and work rate and he will rub off on the players. He is an excellent addition to our squad."
