Shots Sit On The Brink

Win at home to Scarborough on Saturday, then its qualification once again!

Since the chances of the Shots repeating last year's Play-Off feat increased all the more, fans have been on a rollercoaster ride of emotions — experiencing the highs and lows of football that an Aldershot Town fixture list never fails to throw up.

Now, after 41 games of thrills and spills, it's all down to the final 90 minutes on Saturday, and the message from the Shots is clear: "Fill the Rec and be our 12th man!"

With the likes of Stevenage, Woking and Exeter all breathing down the Shots' necks, only a win will do, and if boss Terry Brown can rid his troops of obvious nerves and steer them to victory, then it's a return to the promised land, and, possibly even the Football League.

With thanks to the Aldershot News.
