The Shrews, who lost in the play-off final to Gillingham last weekend, are one of the richer sides in the division and the news that manager Paul Simpson is keen on the diminutive young striker is potentially not good news for Aldershot manager Gary Waddock.
The manager has very few funds to work with, despite an injection of cash being raised by Aldershot's loyal fans in the recently launched Shots Player Share, and is very unlikely to be able to compete with Shrewsbury on a financial level.
"Robinson is a player I have wanted before," Simpson told the Shrewsbury Chronicle newspaper. "I have spoken to his agent - but no more than that. We didn't talk about wages or anything like that."
