Although the contribution of the front pair didn't culminate in the three points needed at Park Lane, Sills is confident the new strike-force can successfully continue the Play-off challenge.
He told the Aldershot News, "It's good working with Jake Robinson. We're scoring some goals — well he is — and luckily I just about managed to start tonight.
"It's an enjoyable partnership. He works hard, he's quick, he's skilful and you saw that volley tonight. He can just produce something from nothing.
"It's a bit like playing with Jonny (Dixon) again. I am beginning to know where he is and vice versa and the link is starting to come.
"I think I've had seven or eight strike partners this season so it's nothing new if someone else comes in — you just have to adapt. Hopefully he can stay a bit longer.
"It's been very frustrating not playing with Roscoe (D'Sane) at all this season. After last season I felt we could do some damage together and it was even more frustrating with Jonny because we were just firing together and ripping defences to bits.
“While Jake's here, however, I'll enjoy it.”
With two away draws this week, Sills now believes that the Shots' remaining four home matches are crucial to the Play-off run-in.
“Anything you get away is a bonus but you really have to look at winning your home games.”
