Matt Somner has followed no-show striker Jason Lee away from the Recreation Ground and has signed a deal for Notts County.
The 23-year old defender had been offered a deal to keep him at the Rec for longer but after looking at other offers, the player has decided that he could do better with the struggling League Two outfit.
The move must come as a real set back for manager Terry Brown as he looks to build a team who can challenge for a play Off place following last seasons disappointing campaign but at leasts ends speculation on the players future and will give Brown time to try and bring in players who want to wear the Red and Blue for the Shots.
