Official Shots website www.theshots.co.uk has confirmed that Sheffield United defender Ben Starosta has moved to North Hampshire to join The Shots in a one month deal with a view to signing full-time.
Speaking to the Aldershot News Waddock said, "A month is an opportunity for both parties — us and Ben — to have a look at each other.
"But I am hoping for the loan spell to go well and then the deal can be extended. I think Ben will fit into the style of play that I like. He ticks all the right boxes for me but, until he's actually played with us, you never quite know."
Meanwhile, The Shots boss confirmed that Canoville and Murphy were both told that they would not be needed by the club after the Maidenhead fixture.
The boss did however, state that the club are currently offering a trial to an as yet un-identified 19-year old who will more than likely feature in Saturday's friendly against Leyton Orient.
