Shots manager Terry Brown has told the clubs official website, www.theshots.co.uk that he thought that his side could go on and beat Basingstoke Town in Saturdays FA Cup tie at the Recreation Ground, even though they found themselves 1-0 on the stroke of half time.

He tol the site, ""I still fancied ourselves at the break. We had to showed some character in the second half and I thought we might improve going towards the East Bank. It was a bit similar to the first Chelmsford match where will power near enough saw us through.

"There is no doubt that the occasion got to both sets of players at times. This was a pressure game. It was a big crowd. I was quite firm to the players at half time and said to them that 'This is your chance- don't waste it'. Thankfully they did improve after the break".
