Three Axed As Terry Re-Builds

Chris Giles, Dwain Clarke and Jon Challinor have all been told that they will not be offered new contracts and they have no future at the Recreation Ground.
Gilo (pictured left) was placed on the transfer list several months ago - and although his game has improved recently, supporters won't be too surprised to see him released. Dwayne Clarke (pictured right) has failed to make an impression among many supporters during his stay at the Recreation Ground and often looked out of his depth against Conference players even though he was given ample opportunity to express himself he didn't seem able to cut the mustard at this level.
The greatest shock is that of Challers. The attacking midfielder scored 9 goals for the club this season - and is rated by many in the Conference as one of the best players in that position. He has been watched by scouts during his spell at the club - but has been moved to the bench following the arrival of Gary Holloway and David Lee - neither of whom are regular goal scorers. There will certainly be interest from other clubs and it's expected that he won't be out of the game for long.
Meanwhile, Terry has offered contracts to several other of the current squad and is waiting on their decisions - before moving in to the transfer market.
